Canada Games – (July 21^st, 2017) Winnipeg – The Canada Games, along with TSN and RDS, have announced the official national Broadcast and Webcast schedules for the 2017 Canada Summer Games.   

“We are thrilled to have TSN and RDS on as the official broadcast partners of the 2017 Canada Summer Games, our 50^th anniversary Games,” says Tom Quinn, Canada Games Council Chairman. “TSN and RDS are Canada’s sports leaders and trusted sources for sports broadcasting. Having them on as broadcast partners ensures Canadians across the nation will be able to celebrate our 50^th anniversary as they watch Canada’s top young athletes compete in Canada’s largest multi-sport event.”

In addition to the highly anticipated Opening and Closing Ceremony broadcasts, TSN and RDS broadcast segments will feature Soccer, Beach Volleyball, Indoor Volleyball, Baseball, Basketball and Softball. TSN and RDS will also provide coverage of additional sports with extensive highlights throughout the competition, and deliver in-depth athlete profiles. For the first time, TSN and RDS will also provide social content available through the network’s social media platforms, including Instagram and Snapchat.

Two-time Olympic gold medalist and Canada Games alumna Catriona Le May Doan will join TSN’s Vic Rauter as hosts of the network’s live coverage of the opening ceremony taking place on July 28^th at 8 p.m. ET. Rauter will also provide play-by-play throughout the Games, including women’s soccer alongside Olympic medalist and Canada Games alumna Kaylyn Kyle. TSN’s  Sara Orlesky hosts coverage of the Games, on-site at The Forks.

TSN is all hands on deck for the 2017 CANADA SUMMER GAMES, with contributions throughout the competition from a full slate of TSN reporters, hosts, and analysts, including Paul Hollingsworth, Meghan McPeak, Greg Sutton, and more.

TSN’s comprehensive schedule will include 40 hours of English coverage while RDS will feature 40 hours of French coverage. All broadcast footage will be available for live-streaming through the TSN GO and RDS GO apps.

Webcasting coverage of the 2017 Games will be featured on the Canada Games webcast portal, www.canadagamestv.ca.
