Montreal, April 1, 2016 – With a diversified 30 years of experience in the field of sport in Québec, Canada, and internationally, Mr. Marc Schryburt will become the new Vice-President, Performance Services of the Institut national du sport du Québec (INS Québec). Starting in his new position on May 2nd, he will be called to collaborate with all key partners in the federal and provincial sport systems in order to contribute effectively to the performance objectives established within the different programs and projects.

He possesses a diversified ‘field’ experience thanks to a direct involvement in different sport disciplines and to his experience in the training of coaches.”

A Graduate from Université de Montreal with a Degree in physical education, holder of a Level 4 in the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and a diploma from the INS Québec completed in 2008, Marc Schryburt started his career in the education system for a twenty-year period as a Teacher, then as Director in a high school. He also coached in six different sports, including football where he coached for 21 years (six of those were full-time in university football). He was also associated with the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) and its programs for 15 years, especially as a Learning Facilitator, as a Master Learning Facilitator, as the Director of finance and administration, as the Chief Operating Officer and the Director of International Programs.

The creation of the Vice-President, Performance Services, became necessary because of the growth and diversification of performance services sectors dedicated to the needs of athletes, coaches and service providers. This will allow INS Québec to continue adjustments aimed at increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of its services to high performance athletes and coaches as well as to the sport community. INS Québec to increase its focus on implementing an integrated multidisciplinary approach, centred on high performance athletes’ and coaches’ needs.
