Day Two Canadian Swimming Championships Results
Swim Nova Scotia – Nova Scotia Swimmers Continue to Race Well at the Canadian Swimming Championships
Montreal, QC – Four of Nova Scotia’s swimmers made their way to the finals and consolation finals in their individual events tonight at Montreal’s Olympic Park Sports Centre during the second day of competition at the 2017 Canadian Swimming Championships.
Para swimmer Danial Murphy of the Truro Centurions Swim Club made his way into the finals with two fourth place finishes. Murphy finished the S5 50m Butterfly with a time of 48.62 and the S5 200m Freestyle with a time of 3:02.92.
Natasha Sexton Quillian of the Sackville Waves Aquatic Team finished eighth in the S10 women’s 100m Backstroke with a time of 1:27.10.
Tyler Herron of the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club finished 13th in the men’s 100m Backstroke with a time of 58.68 and teammate Alec Karlsen finished 15th in the men’s 400m Individual Medley with a personal best time of 4:31.94.
Competition continues through Monday, with prelims beginning at 10:00am daily and finals at 6:00pm local time.
