FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup – Slopestyle
The slopestyle World Cup circuit heads to Seiser Alm, Italy, this weekend with several Canadians in the hunt for the podium. Sochi 2014 champion Dara Howell of Huntsville, ON, finished third in her qualification heat with a score of 73.66 on her second of two runs, good for third place and a berth in Saturday’s final round. On the men’s side, Vernon, B.C.’s Noah Morrison will be joined by Calgary’s Mark Hendrickson and Max Moffatt of Caledon, ON in the final, looking for breakthrough performances to reach the podium in their first World Cup competition of the year.
CBC Sports’ Rob Snoek will provide play-by-play commentary alongside analyst and FIS judge Mike Atkinson. Coverage on CBC-TV begins Saturday at 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT), while live streaming coverage begins at 5:30 a.m. ET (2:30 a.m. PT).
Good Times with Craig McMorris
In addition to his duties as CBC Sports’ snowboard analyst, Craig McMorris is the host of a new cross-platform feature, Good Times With Craig McMorris, which sees him interacting with some of Canada’s top extreme sports stars with the goal of finding out how they balance everyday life with competition. New editions of the feature will be posted each week at cbcsports.ca and will air as part of Road To The Olympic Games each Saturday.
In this week’s Good Times feature Craig spends time with his brother, Olympic medallist and 12-time X Games medallist, Mark McMorris.
