Baseball Canada – Media registration for the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup® 2017 in Thunder Bay, Canada, is now available and will remain open until Friday, 18 August.
 
All members of the media, both local/national and international, who wish to cover the U-18 Baseball World Cup in Thunder Bay must apply through the official WBSC Media Accreditation online platform at https://my.wbsc.org.
 
Media outlets that have not previously registered will first need to create a profile at https://my.wbsc.org/?v=request-credentials. (See Registration Guide)
 
The XXVIII WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup 2017 Thunder Bay will be contested over 50 games, and a record nine Top 10 countries have qualified into the 12-nation world championship.
 
The WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup features the best 16 to 18-year-old baseball players and future stars/first-round draft picks from around the world. Players affiliated to Major League Baseball are eligible to participate with their respective National Teams, as part of a recent WBSC-MLB global pro player agreement.

GUIDELINES FOR NON-RIGHTS HOLDING (“NRH”) MEDIA
Coverage by Non-Rights Holding TV/RADIO and Crew
  • Only rights holders of applicable games may transmit game footage (audio and/or video) of the WBSC Baseball World Cups.
  • NRH media credentials provide access to official training sessions, games, mixed zone, press conferences and Opening/Closing Ceremonies.
  • Credentials will be granted by specific category (i.e., Press, Photographer, Radio, TV), and access will be granted accordingly.
  • Photographers and NRH TV crew will be required to wear bibs.

 

PICK-UP
Credentials may be collected at the Press Conference on 31 August (from 15:00) or at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium from Friday, 1 September (Opening Day from 08:00).
