Winnipeg Welcomes Canada’s Top Young Athletes for 14U Volleyball National Championships

Winnipeg, MB – From May 8 to 11, 2025, Winnipeg will proudly host the 14U Volleyball Canada National Championships, welcoming 144 teams from across the country in a celebration of sport, unity, and youth achievement. This prestigious event marks one of the largest gatherings of its kind, highlighting the extraordinary growth of volleyball at the grassroots level.

As part of the larger Volleyball Canada Youth National Championships series, the 14U event in Winnipeg is one of several regional tournaments held across the country, including successful events in Ottawa and Fredericton earlier this month. Together, these satellite championships provide more young athletes the opportunity to compete at a national level while staying closer to home, reflecting Volleyball Canada’s commitment to accessibility, development, and nationwide participation.

“Winnipeg is honoured to welcome so many passionate young athletes from across the country,” says Coralee Dolyniuk, Executive Director of Volleyball Manitoba. “Hosting the 14U National Championships here reflects Manitoba’s leadership in amateur sport and the incredible momentum volleyball has across our province. There’s nothing quite like watching hundreds of youth come together, sharing their love for the game and creating memories that will last a lifetime.”

The sheer size of this year’s 14U Championships is a testament to volleyball’s surging popularity, particularly at the developmental level. It also reflects the commitment of local organizers, volunteers, and partners who have worked tirelessly to prepare a world-class experience for all involved.

Volleyball Canada and Volleyball Manitoba extend their sincere thanks to the Sport Manitoba, City of Winnipeg, Province of Manitoba and the many dedicated sponsors and volunteers who make this national event possible.
