Led by the Board of Directors, Ontario Soccer is conducting research on player registration that focuses on Player Recruitment and Player Retention.
Ontario Soccer recently asked Parents, or Parents of children who have not registered in soccer over the last two years, to take a survey on their experiences in soccer.
Those who participated in the survey were entered into a draw to win an Ontario soccer prize pack.

Registration is now open for Goalkeeping Coach Diploma Course |

Ontario Soccer has announced the upcoming Goalkeeping Coach Diploma Course, which is being held at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan on Dec. 5 and 6, 2019.
The Goalkeeper Diploma Course is an in-person workshop, produced by Ontario Soccer, that combines theoretical and practical components on Goalkeeping Coaching.

Ontario Soccer is pleased to announce the date and location of the upcoming Soccer Fitness Trainer Diploma Level 2.
This is a diploma course produced by Ontario Soccer, as a second level to the Soccer Fitness Trainer Diploma Level 1 courses, which combine theoretical and practical components of Soccer Fitness Training.

Futsal Match Officiating in Unsanctioned Leagues |
|
Ontario Soccer has recently placed futsal development in its 2019-2021 Strategic Plan and as an integral component of the Long Term Officials Development (LTOD) program.
As a result, standards and requirements have been established for futsal Match Officials with regards to registration, grading, fitness and assigning.
Following these standards, all registered Futsal Match Officials are prohibited from officiating in unsanctioned futsal leagues.

Ontario Soccer has announced the initial roster for the Ontario Soccer Summit 2020, in partnership with Respect in Sport, in Hamilton, Ont. and this year’s list of speakers continues to showcase some of the sport’s brightest minds and influential leaders.
The speakers, which are a compliment of local talent and international experience, will fill the halls of Redeemer University from Feb. 21-23, 2020, in partnership with the Hamilton and District Soccer Association.
Tickets are now on sale but early bird tickets are only available until Dec. 1 or until 100 tickets are sold. So, be sure to act quickly.

Ontario teams win one Gold and two Silvers at Toyota National Championships |
Ontario teams brought home a gold medal and a pair of silver medals from the Toyota National Championships.
Ottawa TFC Academy won the Girls U-17 Cup in Charlottetown, PEI.
Woodbridge SC settled for silver after narrowly falling to Calgary’s Foothills 1-0.
Ottawa St. Anthony went undefeated through group play but fell to Surrey’s Central City Breakers 2-0 in the Gold Medal game.

Final Academy Cup has been decided, wraps up OASL 2019 season |
The Ontario Academy Soccer League last Academy Cup has been decided and with it, the 2019 OASL season comes to a close.
AFC Southampton took on London TFC in the U-15 Academy Cup final.

Regional League Championships settled in Guelph |
The Regional League Championships were decided recently at the University of Guelph.
The winner of each of the Youth Regional Leagues in Ontario participated in this competition to determine the Regional League Champions in the U-14, U-15 U-16 and U-17 boys and girls, divisions.

Ontario Soccer releases 2019-2021 Strategic Plan |
Ontario Soccer is pleased to announce its, Board of Directors approved new Strategic Plan for 2019-2021, which will serve as a road map for soccer in the province over the next three years.
The Strategic Plan will focus on four key areas of the sport and within those areas, each have three Strategic Initiatives where Ontario Soccer will look at tackling opportunities on and off the field.
