Teams Collins, Barnett & Ward, Batchelor lead NSGA Senior Men’s Four Ball

It was the perfect day in Paradise N.S. for round one of the NSGA Senior Men’s Four Ball Championship. Fifty-six teams, one hundred and eight competitors, made up the field for the 2020 championship at Eden Golf & Country Club.

Robbie Collins from Clare Golf & Country Club and partner Dick Barnett of Yarmouth Links are currently tied for the lead with Steve Ward of Ken-Wo Golf Club and Paul Batchelor of Vancouver Golf Club. The two teams fired 6-under-par (66) for the day.

One shot back and in third place is the team of Gerry MacMillan of Paragon Golf & Country Club and Edward Dumeah of Osprey Ridge Golf Club. The team of two carded two eagles, three birdies, and two bogeys to finish 5-under-par (67).

Eden Golf & Country Club members are currently dominating division two. Teammates Sheldon Affleck and Gerry Brackett sit in first place after firing a two-under-par (70). While, Sidney Young and Jamie MacLeod are two shots back after carding an even-par (72).
Tomorrow’s round begins at 7:30am.

Special thanks to Jaguar Land Rover Halifax for providing hole-in-one prizes during round one of the championship. Prizes included a Yeti cooler, golf clubs, a cruise, and the grand prize of a brand new vehicle from Jaguar Land Rover Halifax. There were no winners today, but stay tuned as Jaguar Land Rover Halifax will sponsor hole-in-one prizes at all remaining NSGA championships this summer.
