All week one sports compete today: artistic swimming, biathlon, freestyle ski, gymnastics, men’s hockey, ringette, short track speed skating, table tennis, and wheelchair basketball. Boxing competition has ended, and long track speed skating’s last race is this morning at 11 (mt)

Athletes/Teams/Coaches To Watch

 

  1. In boxing, Jawad Miakhail defeated Nova Scotia’s Matthew Fraser and won the bronze by decision in the 56kg final, to earn Manitoba’s first boxing medal of the 2019 Canada Games. Justice Harborne will bring home a silver medal after a very close fight in the 60kg competition. 
  2. More speed skating medals for Team Toba! Tyson Langelaar brought home his fourth medal, a gold, in the 1000m male long track speed skating race. Alexa Scott earned her second and third gold medals in her second and third races – the 1000m female long track race and the mass start female long track race.
