Team BC Soccer Selection Process and Upcoming Events
We are just over a year until the start of the 2023 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG). We can’t wait to see our Team BC athletes, coaches, mission staff, chaperones and elders parade into the opening ceremonies on July 15, 2023, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
We are happy to announce our Athlete Selection Process dates for the sport of soccer. If you, or someone you know, is interested in trying out for Team BC for 2023 NAIG, please read the information attached and fill out the forms below:
- EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The first step in applying for Team BC is to fill out our Expression of Interest form. This will ensure you are in our system and receiving communications about Team BC and soccer over the coming weeks.

REGIONAL IDENTIFICATION CAMPS
We are hosting three (3) regional identification camps in the month of August. These are open to any eligible athlete. Athletes interested in joining Team BC must attend one (1) of the BC Indigenous Regional Soccer Camps held in August 2022. Athletes will have an opportunity to showcase their skills and talent with the goal of being advanced to the BC Indigenous Provincial Soccer Selection Camp and ultimately the 2023 NAIG in Halifax, Nova Scotia in late August (TBC).
You are welcome to attend any one (1) of the three (3) regional identification camps. The regional dates and locations of the camps are:
August 6-7, 2022 in Chilliwack, BC
August 6-7, 2022 in Duncan, BC
August 13-14, 2022 in Hazelton, BC

If you are unable to attend a regional identification camp, you must fill out an Absentee Form. The form MUST be submitted prior to the the last possible camp date.

PROVINCIAL SELECTION CAMP
If you are selected to attend the Provincial Selection Camp, you will be notified by the Team BC coaching staff following the completion of all three (3) regional identification camps. Dates and location TBC.
