Chantel was the chair of Professional Development for the Student Association of Physical Health Education and Recreation from 2013-2014 at the University of Manitoba.

Niverville was one of the communities across the province that bid to host the Games based on their ability to stage the sport competitions. Sport Manitoba and the Manitoba Games Council conduct bid and site evaluations and make recommendations to the Board of Sport Manitoba. After careful review and evaluation, the Manitoba Games Council concluded the criteria to the hosting standards were met and Niverville was awarded the 2022 Games.

Sport Manitoba will work with the Niverville Bid Committee over the next six months to transition their committee into a Host Society and recruit key volunteers for their executive and board.
