We regretfully announce that the 2020 Skate Canada Manitoba Crocus Invitational Synchronized Skating Competition scheduled to take place March 14, 2020 in Roblin has been cancelled.

It is with the health and safety of our members that the Skate Canada Manitoba Board of Directors has made this difficult decision, due to the rapidly evolving COVID 19 pandemic. We will continue to monitor and work with health authorities over the coming weeks regarding future events and will continue to update our membership as information becomes available.

The Board of Directors has also cancelled effective immediately all other Skate Canada Manitoba sanctioned events including Assessment days, competitions, FunSkates, workshops, clinics, ice shows and carnivals, until the end of March.

These decisions are difficult and were not taken lightly, we understand that this decision affects our skaters, coaches, organizers, officials who have been working hard for months to prepared for these events, however in the interest of public health and safety in an ever changing environment we believe it is for the best.  We continue to support the province’s recommendations and protocols to help limit the spread of COVID -19 in our communities.

Skate Canada Manitoba also recommends that Clubs and Skating Schools in our Section become familiar with the recent recommendations from the Manitoba Government, as well as contact your local municipality and facilities in regard to any club and skating school programming.
