Show Team Canada Some Love at the 2019 RWC

BC Rugby – Canada have one final match to play at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.  On Saturday, October 12 they will take on Namibia (KO 8:15pm PST) and we want to do our part to help let the players know we are all behind them.

If you could take just a couple minutes to film and send the team a supportive message, we’ll help remind them that despite being on the other side of the Pacific Ocean, the BC Rugby community is still cheering them on all the way.

You can say as much or as little as you want.  You might record a personal message, or as a family, a team, a club, an office or a bunch of friends.

Videos can be shot on a phone, horizontally and sent via email to Bernadette Larose (blarose@rugby.ca) or texted directly to her at +1-403-993-2326.  She will gather them all together in to one big bundle of support for the players before they take to the field this weekend.

Need ideas on what to include?

  • Throw on your Canada jerseys and show your colours
  • Take the video at a team/club practice
  • Let the players know which corner of Canada you’re cheering from
  • Got a lucky mascot?  Throw that in there!
  • “Hey guys, just wanted to wish the entire World Cup team good luck in Japan. Keep going boys, Canada’s behind you!”
  • “The community of *blank * wants to wish Canada good luck at the Rugby World Cup, GO CANADA GO!”

We hope you’ll be able to take a moment and send the team some words of support and help get them revved up for this final game.

Remember, catch all the action live on TSN 1/4 on October 12, KO 8:15pm
