RugbyCanada confim cancellation of U19 Men’s CRCs
Rugby Canada and the Provincial Unions have confirmed the cancellation of the 2020 Men’s U19 Canadian Rugby Championship (CRC) due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The safety of athletes, staff, officials and fans remains the top priority for Rugby Canada and the Provincial Rugby Unions.  Read more

Rugby Canada, provincial unions establish Return-to-Play working group
Rugby Canada and the Provincial Rugby Unions are pleased to announce the formation of a pan-Canadian working group with the objective of developing a nationwide ‘Return to Play’ strategy.  The formation of this working group comes as various jurisdictions in Canada begin to loosen some COVID-19 lockdown restrictions. BC Rugby AGM will be held virtually on June 20, 10am
The Board unanimously approved the first ever virtually-held AGM to take place on Saturday, June 20 at 10am. We hope this will facilitate Province-wide representation and possibly set a new format for AGM meetings moving forward. Given this new setting, we will only conduct AGM business on this date and will look to schedule other key business meetings throughout the next few months. Read more

Return to Play update

 

Rugby Canada have provided an update from the Return to Play National Working Group. All members agreed that player welfare, at all levels, is the highest priority and therefore the objective is to bring rugby back safely in a phased approach. Read more

Obituary – George Jones

 

BC Rugby are saddened to learn of the passing of George Jones, co-founder of the Canadian Rugby Foundation. Jones passed away Monday at the age of 86. Read more
