Results from Day 1 Canadian Swimming Trials
Swimming Canada – Great Start to the 2019 Canadian Swimming Trials for Nova Scotia’s Swimmers
Toronto (ON)- Nova Scotia’s top swimmers began competing today at the 2019 Canadian Swimming Trials in Toronto, Ontario at Toronto’s Pan Am Sports Centre today through Sunday.
Top results from today included Halifax Trojan Sarah Polley, who finished 16th with a personal best time of 27.89 in the women’s 50m Butterfly and Hayden Bartoch of the Halifax Wavecutters Aquatic Club who finished 31st in the men’s 800m Freestyle with a time of 8:37.60.
This competition will serve as the nomination or selection Trials for the 2019 FINA World Championships, 2019 FINA World Junior Championships, 2019 Pan American Games, 2019 Para Pan American Games, 2019 World Para Swimming Championships, and 2019 FISU Games.
In total, approximately 600 swimmers from 150 clubs are competing.
Prelims begin at 9:30am and finals begin at 6:00pm local time daily
