The Ottawa Sport Council is excited to host two separate lunchtime Strategic Planning Huddles for Ottawa based community sport organizations. The Huddles will run from 11:30 to 13:30 on March 23 and 24 and will be facilitated by Derek Johnston of Face Value Communications!

The Strategic Planning Huddle is the latest session from Rebound – a free 6-part program to complement and enhance the resources found in the Ottawa Return to Play Roadmap. This program is being offered with the support of Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Fund.

Strategic Planning Huddle – Join the Conversation

In February and early March, we hosted our first Chalk Talk of the Rebound program on strategic planning, facilitated by local business leader Julien Leblanc. Now, our Strategic Planning Huddle offers you the chance to join the conversation!

This workshop is all about creating an opportunity for community sport organizations in Ottawa to connect and learn from each other. Participants will be invited to share their successes and the challenges that they may have experienced in developing a strategic plan during the COVID-19 pandemic!

All are welcome to the Strategic Planning Huddle!

If you attended the Strategic Planning Chalk Talk, you’re more than welcome to join the Huddle and tell us about how you’ve further developed your plan on a page.

If you didn’t join us for one of the Strategic Planning Chalk Talks, we are inviting you to join the Huddle and share your experience on strategic planning during a pandemic.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Derek will ask participants thought provoking questions about strategic planning and give you the chance to participate in small group discussions to learn from your peers.
  • Julien will also join the conversation as our subject matter expert on strategic planning to provide further insight to the conversations and answer any questions you may have.
  • Following the Strategic Planning Huddle, we will be sharing additional resources to help community sport organizations continue conversations about strategic planning.
