Swimming Canada – Toronto (ON)- Nova Scotia’s swimmers wrapped up competition today at the 2019 Canadian Swimming Trials in Toronto, Ontario at the Pan Am Sports Centre.

Sarah Polley of the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club finished 29th in the women’s 50m Freestyle with a time of 26.70 and Hayden Bartoch of the Halifax Wavecutters Aquatic Club finished 35th in the men’s 1500m Freestyle with a time of 16:45.56.

This competition served as the nomination or selection Trials for the 2019 FINA World Championships, 2019 FINA World Junior Championships, 2019 Pan American Games, 2019 Para Pan American Games, 2019 World Para Swimming Championships, and 2019 FISU Games. Swimming Canada will be announcing their teams later this evening.

27 of Nova Scotia’s top Youth and Junior swimmers are off to Quebec City this week to compete at the 2019 Speedo Eastern Canadian Swimming Championships.
