Ottawa Sport Council: Register today and join our Risk Management Huddle
The Ottawa Sport Council is pleased to announce another opportunity for Ottawa based community sport organizations to discuss risk management particularly as it applies to the pandemic environment. The Risk Management Huddle will be offered on Tuesday June 22 (18:30-20:30). This workshop is the next installment of the Ottawa Sport Council’s 2021 Rebound program. This free 6-part program is being offered with the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Fund.
Risk Management Huddle – Join the Conversation!
Earlier in June, we hosted the Risk Management Chalk Talk, led by expert Dina Bell-Laroche, of Sport Law. The current environment requires community sport organizations in Ottawa to understand how to identify, mitigate and communicate risks related to the pandemic as well as their commitment to offer a safe return to sport. The Huddle, facilitated by Derek Johnston, will offer participants an opportunity to gather around the virtual table and learn from one another. This session will build on the discussions from the Chalk Talk.
All are welcome at the Risk Management Huddle!
If you had the chance to attend the Risk Management Chalk Talk, we’d love to see you back at the Huddle and share how you’ve taken the key learnings from the workshop back to your organizations. If you did not attend the Risk Management Chalk Talk, please join us for the Huddle to share your experiences and discuss key risks that you see in your organization.

This is a free virtual event. The workshop will be conducted via Zoom meeting with use of breakout rooms, open discussion, and other virtual meeting tools. Registration for the workshop will be limited to a maximum of 20 participants to allow for a personalized approach and small group discussions.
Date: Tuesday, June 22
