Orienteering Canada is excited to announce a 3 year partnership with Silva Canada and Icebug Canada. Silva has been a key player in the orienteering equipment world since 1933 and Icebug has been a popular footwear brand in orienteering since it was founded 20 years ago.
Icebug Canada and Silva Canada will be providing compasses at no cost and Icebug footwear at significant discounts to Orienteering Canada’s Team Canada athletes. They will also be providing Silva and Icebug products to Orienteering Canada for use in various fundraising and awareness campaigns each year. Orienteering Canada, SIlva Canada and Icebug Canada are also looking forward to collaborating on various social media campaigns to raise awareness of orienteering.
Through this partnership, Orienteering Canada is excited to be re-connecting with Susan Lowe-Wylde (nee Budge). Susan was one of Canada’s best orienteers in the 1970s and 80s when she represented Canada at five World Orienteering Championships. Susan and her partner Ian Lowe-Wylde own Rock Gear Distribution, the distributor of Icebug and Silva in Canada.
