Olympic Berth on the Line as Canada’s Field Hockey Teams play for Gold in Lima

Field Hockey – With wins in their respective semifinal games, both Canadian women’s and men’s team will play for Pan American gold in Lima.

By knocking off the reigning champs, USA, in the semfinals 2-0, Canada marched into its first gold medal game since 1991 in the women’s division. Already with a loss in the group stage to Argentina, Canada is hoping to get revenge and take down Las Leonas in the finals and book a trip to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Familiar stage for the Red Caribou
Canada’s men’s team has made the Pan American finals 12 consecutive times. In all 12 they have faced a tough Argentinian side. The last time the Red and Whte won Pan American Games gold was in 2007. The Red Caribou are looking to write their own history and win gold and punch their ticket to Tokyo 2020.
