The Aboriginal Sport Circle (ASC) is an Indigenous-led, not-for-profit organization. The ASC requires a consultant services provider to partner in the development of a National Indigenous Sport Strategy.

The National Indigenous Sport Strategy (“National Strategy”) is intended to be truly national in scope
and the end-product is meant to be nationally serving. This project is anticipated to take approximately
2.5 calendar years, with a start date of February 2022. This project is supported by Sport Canada.

The priorities and recommendations within the National Strategy are expected to be directly identified
and informed by First Nations, Métis and Inuit people, organizations and communities, including the
Provincial Territorial Aboriginal Sport Bodies. The strategy will also be expected to reflect input from
numerous interested and involved parties such as National Sport Organizations (and their member
Provincial or Territorial Sport Organizations), Multi-Sport Organizations, corporate Canada, specific
entities within the public and private sectors, not-for-profit and charitable organizations.

The successful proponent, therefore, will need to present a strong and detailed plan for engaging a
broad range of entities as well as demonstrate established expertise in writing effective, supportable
strategy. Research analysis, data collection and reporting are also requirements. The National Strategy
will stand separate from but is envisioned to inform, influence and interconnect with Canadian Sport
Policy and other related policies.

The ASC emphasizes that capacity building among Indigenous-owned and/or Indigenous-led
consultancies is a priority. The ASC therefore will welcome consortium-style (multi-firm) proposals from
proponents who indicate significant Indigenous leadership and contribution at the project team level
and also clearly establish the ability to deliver at a national scale within diverse cultural groups.

Submissions are due before February 2, 2022, 4:00pm Eastern Standard Time
