As we conclude Black History Month, tune in for the latest episode of the Sporting Change Podcast as we welcome Craig Brown from Anti-Racism in Sport Canada.
Earlier this year SIRC released the Fair Play: Understanding the Current State of Racial Inclusion in Canadian High Performance Sport report which found that only 14% of racialized Canadians regularly participate in sport (less than half the rate of white Canadians). Further, it reported that 77% of discrimination in sport is racially motivated.
These statistics, along with other Canadian research studies on the topic, underscore the importance to continue to prioritize diversity and inclusion efforts. Tune in as Craig draws from his academic, professional, and personal experiences in this thought-provoking episode.
