More Than A Coach

To celebrate National Coaches Week, we asked a couple of local athletes to tell us about their coach. They shared why a coach is ‘more than a coach’.

Track and Field athlete Aaron Hernandez tells us about his coach, Jaime Thomas, who he considers not only a coach, but also a mentor, role model, support system, and friend.  Aaron attributes much of his success on and off the track to his coach.

Pronghorn rugby player Jill Tataryn recalls the lasting impact coach Ric Suggitt has not only on her but on the lives of many athletes. Ric inspired his athletes to work hard but more importantly to be good people. He inspired Logan Boulet to become an organ donor and with the increase in organ donors due to their selflessness, their legacy lives on.
