GLOBL JAM, the world-class international basketball showcase, returns to Toronto from July 12-16. This summer’s festivities will once again centre around GLOBL JAM FIVES – the 5-on-5 Under-23 basketball tournament featuring women’s and men’s teams from around the world. Taking to the court at Toronto’s Mattamy Athletic Centre and broadcast nationally across Sportsnet platforms, GLOBL JAM FIVES will feature national fan-favourites and future NBA and WNBA stars.

GLOBL JAM FIVES will see teams compete in round-robin action July 12-15, followed by the men’s and women’s bronze and gold medal championship games on Sunday, July 16.

The GLOBL JAM field for this year includes representatives from the following countries:

– Women’s Tournament: Canada, United States (University of Louisville), Puerto Rico, and the African Continent U23 Women’s Select Team

– Men’s Tournament: Canada, United States (University of Kentucky), Germany, and the African Continent U23 Men’s Select Team

Sportsnet, Canada’s #1 sports media brand, returns as the exclusive broadcaster of GLOBL JAM FIVES, delivering full-court coverage across its national TV and streaming platforms. Full coverage details, including the broadcast team and schedule, will be announced at a later date.

The deadline to apply is Thursday, July 6 at 11:59 PM ET.

‍MEDIA ACTIVITIES

Mixed Zone interview opportunities

‍Interview opportunities with selected players will be organized for all media following each game. These interviews will be carried out in a pre-defined location around the court area or in an appropriate mixed-zone area.

‍Access to Practice Sessions

‍Media will have the ability to request access at the end (10 minutes) of select practice sessions. Additional information, including a practice schedule, will be circulated shortly.
