Manitoba Soccer Association – Winnipeg, Manitoba – The Manitoba Soccer Association (MSA) is pleased to announce that six Manitoba clubs will be taking part in the 2019 Toyota National Championships, which begins on Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 in three Canadian cities.

The Under 15 Cup will take place in Edmonton, Alberta with Manitoba being represented by Bonivital SC in both the girl’s and boy’s divisions respectively. The Under 17 Cup will take place in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island with Manitoba being represented by FC Northwest in the girl’s division and Bonivital SC in the boy’s division. Finally, the Senior Men’s Challenge Trophy and Senior Women’s Jubilee Trophy will be played in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador with FC Winnipeg Lions representing the province in the men’s category, and FCNW Starz representing in the women’s category.

All 2019 Toyota National Championships will run from October 9th to 14th, 2019. Canada Soccer will be broadcasting daily from all venues, and live streaming of matches can be found at canadasoccer.com.

It will be an exciting weekend, as this will be the first time for many players participating in a National Competition. The National Club Competition will test all team’s resiliency as they play multiple matches against tough opponents over a short period of time.

The Masters Regional Club Championships were held at the end of September in Quebec City, Quebec and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with Classics SC finishing fourth overall in the women’s division, and Rovers FC finishing in fourth position in the men’s division.

MSA referees will also be represented at the national level. The Manitoba Referee Program will be sending four match officials and two assessors to the various competitions. Nicolas Joubert and Marko Kalic have been selected to participate at the Senior competition in St. John’s, while National Assessor Mario Perrino will be assessing at the competition.

Referees Alex Castro and Evan Cline will travel to Edmonton to participate at the U15 competition and National Assessor Frank Major will be assessing at the competition.
