One of Curling’s premiere events of the year, the Tankard Provincial Championship will be sponsored by Ocean Contractors Ltd and will be named ‘The Ocean Contractors Tankard Provincial’ for the 2023-2024 season. Ocean Contractors Limited has had partnerships with individual teams in the past and this year is increasing its support by joining forces with the Association.
“We are extremely happy that Ocean Contractors Limited saw the value in supporting our Association and men’s curling teams who are vying for the right to represent Nova Scotia at the 2024 Brier,” says Robert Belliveau, President, Nova Scotia Curling.
“Ocean Contractors Ltd. has supported amateur curling in the past and is excited about the opportunity to be involved with this prestigious event. We pride ourselves in community involvement and this is a perfect partnership,” says Scott Flemming, Vice President, Ocean Contractors Ltd.

The Under 18 will be Nova Scotia Curling’s first provincial of the year, Dec 27-31, 2023, held at Lakeshore Curling Club. Mersey Seafoods will be the title partner for the next three years and will be known as ‘Mersey Seafoods Under 18 Men’s and Women’s Provincial Championships’.
“This is the first time both the U21 and the U18 will have title partners,” says Belliveau, “I believe these partners have come forward due to the success of our High Performance Program, winning gold in both the Men’s and Women’s Canada Winter Games last year in PEI and the podium placement of our recent U18 and U21 team at the Canadian level.”
Mersey Seafoods will be the title partner of the U18 Men and Women’s Provincial Championships for the next three years,’ says Mike Murphy, Mersey Seafoods,’ the talent of the juniors in Nova Scotia right now is extraordinary and we want to assist Nova Scotia Curling with their development and training so that they are prepared to compete on the national stage.’
