Ontario players swept the 2019 Canada Soccer Player Awards
Six awards. Six winners for players from Ontario.
Canada Soccer has announced their year-end Player Awards and Ontario athletes have won the male and female players of the year, the male and female youth international players of the year, the Para player of the award and the Futsal player of the year award.

What can you register for in early 2020?
The first C-License course of 2020 sold-out but two more are now available
The first C-License course of 2020 has sold-out but Ontario Soccer is pleased to announce two more C-License courses are now open.
London and Ottawa will each host a C-License course, starting in March 2020.
Coaches who obtain a C-License Certification and will have the qualifications to be a Head Coach in some Regional Leagues, the OASL and an Assistant Coach in the OPDL.

Level 1 Discipline and Appeals Certification Course bookings now open
Ontario Soccer offers a Level 1 Discipline and Appeals Certification Course and is taking bookings for District Associations and applicable Leagues looking to host a course for their membership in 2020.
The course is one day (approx. eight hours) and led by an Ontario Soccer appointed instructor.

Take this online Goalkeeper Coach Course, which covers the basics of developing keepers
Ontario Soccer is pleased to announce the brand new Ontario Soccer online Goalkeeper Coach Certificate.
For all aspiring Goalkeeping Coaches, this online course is your first step into Goalkeeper development and will cover the basics of developing goalkeepers.

OSCAR Outdoor Registration 2020 is now open
Ontario Soccer has opened the Outdoor 2020 season and is pleased to confirm that ‘OSCAR,’ the Ontario Soccer Club & Academy Registry, powered by SportsEngine, is ready for use for the Outdoor 2020 season.
More detailed information will follow regarding OSCAR 2020 and a conference call will be scheduled to provide answers for any questions organizations may have.

Rowan’s Law Mandatory Implementation
The Province of Ontario, at the present time, is the only province in Canada to enact Concussion Safety legislation throughout its sport system.
‘Rowan’s Law’ received Royal Assent on March 7, 2018, and Section 5 of the Act, proclaiming a ‘Rowan’s Law Day’ was the only section that came into effect at that time.
However, in 2019, the remaining parts of the Act and the regulation have now come into effect in phases.

The Ontario Soccer offices and Ontario Soccer Centre will be operating under modified hours during the holiday season. The Ontario Soccer office will be closed Dec. 24 at noon until Jan. 2.
