Lake Louise, AB (Nov. 11, 2022) – The 2022 Race Organizing Committee and FIS representatives have concluded that the snow and preparations are on schedule for the 2022 men’s downhill and super-G races.

Brian Lynam, Event Director for the Lake Louise Alpine World cup noted, “With excellent early season snowfalls and great conditions to make more, we had an enthusiastic thumbs up on snow control at Lake Louise this morning.

This event is a very concerted effort by our Alpine Canada leadership, enthusiastic volunteer Sled Dogs and our talented Net Crew. We could not be successful without the strong support of the Lake Louise Ski Resort and the dedicated volunteers, partners, contractors and suppliers who make this event possible.

We are fortunate to host this event in Banff National Park …a majestic destination in western Canada where Mother Nature is very supportive!”

Lake Louise is one of the select few destinations to host the men and women back-to-back and is the only event of its kind in Canada; notorious for its epic early season snow and the intimacy of the hamlet of Lake Louise.

All media must register to receive onsite event accreditation and access to media services, including rights holders and non-rights holders.
