Vaughan, ON – Ontario Soccer has announced another industry-leading sport executive will be joining the Ontario Soccer Summit 2020.

Kelly Murumets, who previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Tennis Canada, will be a keynote speaker at the Feb. 21-23, 2020 event, in Hamilton.

“Kelly Murumets helped turn Tennis Canada into an off the court and on the court performing organization and she will share her lessons with the soccer community at the Ontario Soccer Summit,” said Johnny Misley, Ontario Soccer Chief Executive Officer. “The international success that Canadian tennis athletes are currently experiencing is in big part due to the groundwork that was laid by Kelly and her team. We’re excited to have her sharing her expertise with our community.”

Murumets was also the President and CEO of ParticipACTION, a non-profit organization, which promotes healthy living and physical fitness.

“Kelly will also speak to the importance of keeping girls in sport and need for female role models in their lives as coaches, administrators and officials,” said Misley. “Through her work at ParticipACTION, she has seen the power sport can have and understands the importance in engaging youth to be active.”
