Softball Ontario – TORONTO, ON- Debbie Malisani over 30 years ago put up her and her husband’s hand to Coach a tee-ball softball team in Scarborough, ON so that her daughters Laura and Johanna would have an opportunity to play Softball. She truly believed in the values of learning; teamwork, being active and having fun while doing it. In 2003, Debbie joined the Provincial Women’s Softball Association (PWSA) as an active volunteer including the roles of the provincial tournament director, divisional coordinator, executive member. She later became the association’s President and has held that position for the last 10 years. Debbie has tirelessly overseen women’s softball in Ontario and has seen a growth in its membership. Her main goal has always been to ensure access to competitive softball for many generations of women. In addition, as a Softball Ontario Board member, Debbie has served on numerous committees and has offered an invaluable contribution to the Sports Recognition process, her efforts helped to secure new priority funding guidelines for Softball Ontario.

Please help Softball Ontario congratulate Debbie Malisani for her years of service and this remarkable recognition of Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers. It was presented to her on March 27, 2019, by the City of Mississauga, Mayor Combie on behalf of the Governor General of Canada.
