Canadian Olympic Committee – LIMA, PERU (July 25, 2019) – Canadian Olympic Committee President, Tricia Smith, was elected to the Panam Sports Executive Committee on Thursday at the Panam Sports General Assembly in Lima. 

“Thank you to my Pan American family for entrusting me with this honour,” said Smith. “I am excited to continue to expand upon Canada’s contribution to the Panam Sports movement and work closely as a region to help advance the development of all aspects of sport in the Americas.”

Smith joins Haiti’s Alain Jean-Pierre and Costa Rica’s Silvia Gonzalez as representatives who were elected to the Executive Board.

At last year’s General Assembly, Smith was elected as one of Panam Sports’ members on the Association of National Olympic Committees Executive Council.
