Cleve’s Source for Sports Athletes of the Month Announced

Gabrielle Levesque is the Cleve’s Source for Sports Junior Female Athlete of the Month for February. The figure skater from Bridgewater competed in the Canadian Tire National Figure Skating Championship from Mississauga, ON from January 13-19.  The competition hosted over 240 competitors from 10 provinces. Levesque won silver in junior pairs with a short program score of 50.52, a free program score of 90.39 and a total score of 140.91.

Team Taylour Stevens is the Cleve’s Source for Sports Team of the Month for February. The rink from the Halifax Curling Club won a bronze medal at the Canadian Under 21 National Curling Championship in Langley, BC from January 18-26.

About Athlete of the Month

-The Athlete of the Month program is administered by Sport Nova Scotia, whose members are eligible to nominate athletes for the awards.

-A membership committee selects the award recipients for five possible categories: Junior Male Athlete, Junior Female Athlete, Senior Male Athlete, Senior Female Athlete, and Team.
