Sport Manitoba – Aug. 19, 2019 – WINNIPEG, MB – Sport Manitoba has announced that Bison Transport has become the official title sponsor for the Sport LeadHERship Conference to be held in Gimli, Manitoba from Oct. 4-5, 2019, where six-time Olympic medalist Cindy Klassen will be one of the keynote speakers.
“We are excited to announce Cindy’s participation and thrilled to have Bison Transport support us in an event that is working toward positively impacting the landscape of young women and girls in sport,” said Sport Manitoba President and CEO, Jeff Hnatiuk. “We aim to increase female involvement in sport, and this conference is a wonderful way of working toward that by giving participants the tools they need in an educational, inclusive, and inspirational setting.”
The Bison Transport Sport LeadHERship Conference is a professional development opportunity designed for coaches, administrators, community leaders, and volunteers of all genders, from all sports, from across Manitoba. Through a variety of lectures, panel discussions and interactive opportunities, participants can build their networks and knowledge so they can empower and encourage the young women and girls with whom they work with to stay active and involved in sport.

The two-day conference will bring together inspirational leaders to tell their personal and professional stories, offer valuable advice and guidance, and share practical tips that participants can use on and off the field of play.
