Fast and Female will be hosting a three-part virtual series to celebrate International Day of the Girl and raise funds for programming, aimed at keeping girls healthy and active in house.

The series will highlight Team Canada Olympic and Paralympic female athletes and hopefuls for Tokyo 2021, and their experiences with leadership, resilience and the power of sport.

The Team Canada Tokyo 2021 Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls are: Temi Ogunjimi – Rugby, Skylar Park – Taekwondo, Miah-Marie Langlois – Basketball, Kara Douville – Para Cyclist, Katarina Roxon – Para Swimming, Erica Gavel – Wheelchair Basketball. Our moderators will include Erica Wiebe, wrestling gold medalist, and Tammy Cunnington paralympic swimmer.

The final celebration keynote: Waneek Horn-Miller. Olympic athlete, broadcaster, a Mohawk from Kahnawake, Quebec, co-captain of Canada’s first Olympic women’s water polo team and a gold medallist in water polo at the 1999 Pan American Games.
