July 24, 2023 – Fans of cricket and those new to the sport have the opportunity to see top international stars and homegrown Canadian talent as Global T20 Canada and CBC Sports announced today that CBC Sports is the exclusive Canadian broadcast and streaming home of the third edition of Global T20 Canada, North America’s first professional Twenty20 cricket league. The tournament takes place at TD Cricket Arena in Brampton, Ontario, and runs until Sunday, August 6. The full schedule and more details are available at

Recognizing the growing momentum for cricket in Canada, CBC Sports will stream all 25 league matches on CBC and the CBC Sports App for iOS and Android devices. The championship final on Sunday, August 6 will be broadcast live on CBC and CBC Gem.

Sanctioned by the International Cricket Council, the world governing body of cricket, Global T20 Canada consists of six city-based franchises – Toronto Nationals, Montreal Tigers, Vancouver Knights and Brampton Wolves, Mississauga (Ont.) Panthers and Surrey (B.C.) Jaguars – playing in a centralized venue. The franchises feature a mix of international stars from cricket hotbed – India, England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Caribbean, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh – as well as top homegrown talent playing for the Canadian men’s national team.

Following 21 group stage matches, the top four teams will advance to the playoffs culminating in the championship match at TD Cricket Arena on Sunday, August 6.
