Canadian Archery Foundation—call for directors (3)
The Canadian Archery Foundation (the “Foundation”) is a standing committee of Archery Canada (“AC”), mandated to raise and grant funds for the advancement of archery in Canada, and to work with the Canadian Olympic Foundation which manages AC’s endowed fund. Committee members, known as “directors,” award grants, bursaries, and scholarships to participants in archery at all levels, with a focus on youth archery, target archery, 3D and field archery, coach and judge development, and club development. The Foundation is looking for volunteers who will participate in the following functions:
- Discussions leading to the selections of the recipients and the granting of award amounts
- Setting fund raising goals
- Assisting at fund raising events
- Assisting with any public relations efforts
- Attending board meetings and committee meetings (normally held electronically)
- Reporting annually to Archery Canada
Requisite skills / qualifications
- *Able to commit to a 4 year term
- *Working knowledge of financial statements
- *Ability to work collaboratively
Other:
- Knowledge of fund raising or archery an asset.
