The Plouffe sisters are transitioning to 3×3 after nearly 200 games with Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team.  The Edmonton, Alta. natives are Olympians and were part of gold medal victories for Team Canada at the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games, the 2015 FIBA Americas Women’s Championship and the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup.

Crozon, who is originally from Humboldt, SK, returns to 3×3 after being a member of Canada’s 2011 Youth National 3×3 Team that participated in the 2011 3×3 Youth World Championships held in Rimini, Italy. Canada will face France (10:30 AM ET), USA (11:50 AM ET) and Czech Republic (1:40 PM ET) in the Round Robin.  The eight teams are split in two pools of four teams each playing Round Robin games.  The winner of each pool will directly qualify for the semifinals. The teams classified 2nd and 3rd in each pool will play in the quarter-finals.

All games will be streamed live via FIBA 3×3 YouTube.

The FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series is the first-ever FIBA 3×3 competition dedicated to women.  Each national federation can register one team at the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series. Teams then qualify for individual events based on the number of events they have already been allocated to and their team ranking.

The Women’s Series Turin Stop is the second event of the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series 2019.  The 2019 season will consist of 8-12 events from May to September.

Australia claimed the first stop of the inaugural FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series in Chengdu, China.
