Canada Soccer announced today the 23 #CANWNT players that will represent our nation at the SheBelieves Cup, as the team returns to the competition for the third time in four years.  

Led by Head Coach Bev Priestman, Canada will convene for the second time in the 2024 international season as they continue their preparations for this summer’s Paris 2024 Olympic Games’ Football tournament.

Alongside Canada, the 2024 SheBelieves Cup features the United States, Brazil, and Japan. This year’s format will see four matches instead of the usual six, as the teams will compete in the Semifinals on 6 April to advance to the championship match or a third-place match on 9 April. Canada will face Brazil in the Semifinals on 6 April at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, USA.

Canada has a long history with Brazil, having faced the nation 31 times dating back to 1996. The sides have been well-matched throughout the years with Canada holding a record of 11 wins, nine draws, and 11 losses. The two teams last met in a friendly series during the October 2023 FIFA international window, with Brazil posting a 1:0 win in Montréal, and Canada securing a 2:0 win in Halifax. 

Earlier last month, Canada had an inspiring run at the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup as they reached the Semifinals before falling on kicks from the penalty spot. Officially, Canada were undefeated across the tournament with four wins and one draw. Adriana Leon won the Top Goal Scorer Award while Olivia Smith won the Best Young Player Award. Forward Leon, midfielder Jessie Fleming and fullback Ashley Lawrence were named to the tournament’s Best XI. 

This summer, Canada will compete in Group A at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games’ Football tournament (24 July – 10 August) as they look to defend their Tokyo 2020 Olympic Gold medal. CANWNT will face New Zealand on Thursday 25 July, France on Sunday 28 July and Colombia on Wednesday 31 July.

All of Canada’s matches will air live and exclusively on OneSoccer, available on the fuboTV Canada platform, as a linear channel on Telus’s Optik TV (Channel 980), as well as online at OneSoccer.ca and through the OneSoccer app. Fans will find extended coverage across Canada Soccer’s digital channels on Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube featuring the hashtag #CANWNT. ​  

Canada’s three goalkeepers for the tournament are Sabrina D’Angelo from Arsenal FC, Lysianne Proulx from Bay FC, and Kailen Sheridan from San Diego Wave FC. ​
