Canadian Women & Sport is currently seeking contract Program Facilitators and Program Consultants to help deliver our programming and expand our impact.

Program Consultants will coach and support sport leaders and senior leadership teams looking to advance gender equity in their organizations. The engagement is client-facing and consultants will work collaboratively with senior sport leaders to problem-solve, dissect complex issues and implement organizational changes.

Program Facilitators will work with front line sport leaders and grassroot sport organizations and their teams to facilitate workshops and programs.

Both engagements are for flexible, remote independent contractors.

Canadian Women & Sport and Fast and Female are working on a pilot project that we believe will help keep girls aged 8-14 engaged in sport. We are looking for sport leaders to join the program and help recruit participants. Removing Barriers to Keep Self-Identified Girls in Sport is a multi-week program that helps to keep girls safe in sport by building knowledge and challenging current attitudes.  It does this by using an intersectional framework to provide training for: Self-identified Girls – as delivered by Fast and Female and Sport leaders – as delivered by Canadian Women & Sport. Our 2022 Leadership Snapshot identified approximately 3 in 4 nationally funded sport organizations have at least 30% representation from both men and women. Research has shown that at least 30% of positions being held by women is needed to realize the benefits of diverse perspectives. However, 10% of national sport organizations either have no women or only 1 woman at the board room table. Equitable recruitment practices include reaching out to women directly for positions. Gender Equity Initiatives From Our Friends

Jays Care is seeking to build a network of young self-identified girls with leadership potential from across the country. Nominate up to 5 self-identified girls (aged 13-15) today and they will gain access to: an exceptional free virtual leadership program; a specialized Blue Jays Girls Leadership kit (filled with all of the supplies they need for the program); the opportunity to connect with a network of other exceptional and aspiring young leaders and mentors; a series of dynamic and fun self-exploration and leadership activities facilitated by Jays Care staff; and opportunities to be publicly celebrated on Jays Care’s social media accounts. Upon completing the virtual leadership program (called L.I.T. Girls), girls receive a Certificate of Achievement, a Graduation Package and access to exclusive Jays Care events throughout the year.
