Announcing Team Ontario Head Coaches for 2020

Ontario Basketball (OBA) is pleased to announce the appointment of the following six head coaches for Team Ontario in 2020. Team Ontario squads will focus on training and development next summer, culminating in the Canada Basketball 15U & 17U National Championships, August 2 – 9, 2020.

TEAM ONTARIO BOYS

Head Coach, U17 Boys: Michael Selliah

Head Coach, U15 Boys: Marlon Greene

Head Coach, U14 Boys: Tarry Upshaw

TEAM ONTARIO GIRLS

Head Coach, U17 Girls: Jobina D’Aloisio

Head Coach, U15 Girls: Lexie Sananes

Head Coach, U14 Girls: Madeline Belding

The 2020 Canada Basketball Boys National Championships will be held on home court in Kingston, ON at Queen’s University. This will be the first time Ontario Basketball has hosted a Canada Basketball National Championship event since 2011. In 2019, the U15 Boys and U17 Boys Team Ontario squads both brought home silver medals in Fredericton, NB.

The 2020 Canada Basketball Girls National Championships will be hosted by Basketball Prince Edward Island at a location to be announced. In 2019, Team Ontario U15 Girls also brought home a silver medal from Victoria, BC while the U17 Girls finished in 5th place.

Lead Assistant and Assistant Coaching positions will be announced in the new year.
