Ringette Canada – Canada’s top athletes are set to compete at the 2019 Credit Union Canadian Ringette Championships next week in PEI (April 7-13). Forty five teams will compete in three divisions – U16, U19 and the National Ringette League (NRL – 19+). I will be onsite in PEI throughout the event and will be sending daily updates. If you do not wish to receive these updates, please let me know and I will remove you from my event update list. If you need something specific throughout the week (i.e., photos, interviews with athletes or coaches), please let me know and I will coordinate things for you.

Here’s a quick overview of what’s happening:

Opening ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 7 in Summerside, games start Monday morning, and the gold medal finals and closing ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 13. 

Games will take place at Credit Union Place in Summerside, Bell Aliant Centre in Charlottetown, APM Centre in Cornwall and Pownal Sports Centre in Alexandra. Competition in all divisions starts on Monday, April 8 and gold medal finals in all three divisions take place on Saturday, April 13 (U16 at 10:00 ADT in Summerside, U19 at 13:00 ADT in Charlottetown, and NRL at 15:00 ADT in Charlottetown). All-stars and the NRL Annual Awards will be announced at the closing ceremony on Saturday night in Charlottetown.

Please note that the NRL division stats will be posted on our National Ringette League website (www.nationalringetteleague.ca). As well as NRL Championship information, the NRL website has information on regular season play as well as previous season stats.
