Agreement reached in ongoing Softball Nova Scotia & Nova Scotia Softball Umpire Organization dispute

Softball Nova Scotia – Softball Nova Scotia are pleased to announce that a mutual agreement between the Nova Scotia Softball Umpire Organization & Softball Nova Scotia has been reached. Both parties have agreed to resume normal activities for the betterment of the game through to the conclusion of the 2019 softball season. At the end of the season, both parties have agreed to meet in an effort to resolve their differences.

As a result of this agreement being reached, all Nova Scotia umpires previously scheduled to attend Softball Canada Championships will be permitted to attend their assigned Nationals.

Softball Nova Scotia has also rescheduled the three previously cancelled Provincial Softball championships.

U-14 Female – August 16-18th – Highland Park

U-16 Female – August 16-18th – Stellarton

U-19 Female – Provincial has already been completed. This championship was won by the Cole Harbour Comets. Both the Comets & the Scotia Storm have qualified & will move on to represent Nova Scotia at the U-19 Eastern Canadian Championships in Fredricton, New Brunswick.
