BC Rugby – VANCOUVER, BC (October 10, 2019) – The 2019 Kamloops Sevens Tournament is set to kick off at McArthur Island Park in Kamloops this weekend.  The event, entering its fourth year, has exploded to a record of 75 participating teams.

Over 800 male and female athletes from across BC and Alberta will travel to the “Canada’s Tournament Capital” for two days of exciting Rugby Sevens action on October 12-13.  Teams will travel from as far afield as Vancouver Island, Prince George, Prince Rupert, Fort St. John, Kootenays, Calgary and Edmonton to one of the most popular Age-Grade rugby tournaments in the country.

With a total of eight divisions for boys and girls between U14 and U19, there will be plenty of rugby on display throughout the tournament.  The action starts from 10am on Saturday October 12 before moving to knockout and medal matches taking on Sunday October 13.

Tournament Schedule:

Saturday, October 12 – First KO 10:00am, Last KO 1:40pm
Sunday, October 13 – First KO 9:40am, Last KO 2:00pm
