2022 Men’s National Softball Team Athlete Pool

Ottawa, Ont.  Softball Canada is pleased to announce the list of fifty-two (52) athletes who have been named to the 2022 Mens National Team Athlete Pool. The list was put together by the coaching staff consisting of head coach John Stuart (Merritt, B.C.), assistant coaches Doug Allin (Peachland, B.C.), Jeff Ellsworth (St. Lawrence, P.E.I.), John Hill (St. Johns, N.L.) and Les Howey (Conception Bay, N.L.) and manager Mike Branchaud (Ottawa, Ont.).

The Athlete Pool includes fifteen (15) players from the 2019 Mens World Cup bronze medal team, twenty-four (24) former members of the Junior Mens National Team program and thirteen (13) first-time members. All sixteen (16) current members of the U23 Mens National Team roster are included in the Mens National Team Athlete Pool.

The Canadian Mens National Team won the bronze medal at the 2019 WBSC Mens Softball World Cup in the Czech Republic. All international events scheduled to take place in 2020 and 2021 were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
