Webinar – Wednesday, September 7 at 12 NOON EST – Registration is free.

This session will be offered in French on September 13 at 12 NOON EST.

The creation of the Office of the Sport Integrity Commissioner (OSIC) is a significant development in Canadian sport. As the system under OSIC comes online, sport organizations are faced with questions about the new process and what it means for their organization and their members. This webinar introduces OSIC and the associated process under this new division of the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada.

Specifically, the webinar will address:

·      What are the key components under OSIC?

·      What does it mean to become a Program Signatory?

·      What must an NSO do to comply with the OSIC process and procedures?

·      How are different types of complaints to be reported?

·      Application to PTO’s and other organizations

Join lawyer Will Russell as he considers the requirements and implications of OSIC for NSOs, their athletes, coaches, and members.

This webinar will help you deepen your understanding of the basics of OSIC, allowing sports to successfully navigate the implementation of this new Safe Sport mechanism.
