Myths and Mysteries of the 800m

February 23, 2023 7:00 PM EST
|

The mystical 800m. It is argued to be one of the most difficult events in Track and Filed. For those that have run it, they know it as the excruciatingly painful, lung destroying, leg jellifying event that leaves you gasping for air and doubting that you’ll ever be able to walk again. It’s a combination of speed and strength, and patience and gutsiness. So, what’s the magic formula for a successful 800m?   Join High Performance coaches Ron Thompson, and Anne-Marie Fortin, and physiologist Gareth Sandford as we discuss the science and art to coaching effective 800m athletes.
