Fast and Female, a registered charity founded by Olympic Gold Medalist Chandra Crawford, is on a mission to keep girls healthy and active in sports.
Why we exist: 41% of girls age 3 to 16 don’t participate in any sport. (CAAWS, 2016)

The Fast and Female Summit is the ultimate full-day conference for girls (8-18 years), parents, and coaches involved in all sports. As part of the Summit, participants meet many inspirational female athletes and sports experts (Fast and Female Ambassadors), and take part in empowering activities for the mind, body, and heart.
BE YOU. BE REAL. is the theme of the 6th Annual Calgary Summit.
We will have Canadian Paralympic Medallist Alana Ramsay (Para Alpine Skiing), Canadian Olympic Medallist Steph Labbé (Soccer), and Parapan Am Medallist and Rio Paralympian Tammy Cunnington (Para Swimming) joining us for a lunchtime discussion panel, with more Ambassadors still to be announced!
The Fast and Female Summit is a full day event and includes the following:
- Inspirational Chat with Paralymic, Olympic and elite athlete ambassadors
- Circuit of exercises to develop physical literacy (suitable for all backgrounds)
- Leadership and team-building activities
- Sports psychology and Nutrition presentations
- Fun and social activity (dance/boxing/sport – depending on age group)
- Autograph signing
As part of the Summit, each participant receives a Fast and Female technical t-shirt, lunch, snacks, and an autographed poster to take home.
