Join us at 11am PT on July 22nd. Michael Linklater is one of the top 3 on 3 basketball players in the world. Erica Gavel is one of Canada’s leading wheelchair basketball players. Their journeys through basketball have been very different but they both have navigated barriers and challenges to find the ways they belong in sport and in their lives.

Erica is a Paralympian, and PhD student at Ontario Tech University in the Faculty of Science studying “environmental physiology and Paralympic performance”. Erica competed in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympic Games and is a member of the Wheelchair Basketball Canada Senior Women’s National Team.

Michael has established himself as one of the FIBA 3×3 World’s top professional basketball players and was a Team Canada member. He played
professionally with the CEBL Rattlers and led them to win championship in 2019 before retiring. He is a proud Nehiyaw (Cree) descending from the Thunderchild First Nation, located in Treaty 6 Territory.
