Motivate Canada’s 4th annual edition of the national ViaYOUTH Summit is going virtual!

Motivate Canada’s 2021 ViaYOUTH Summit will virtually bring together 40 Canadian youth, from coast to coast to coast, for a 3-day leadership event to engage and inspire youth while unlocking their innovation potential. Designed through extensive youth consultation, the theme of Youth Resilience & Well-Being While Enduring Hardship emerged.

Led by a talented and energized team of diverse youth – the mission of the 2021 ViaYOUTH Summit is to craft an engaging and interactive online event experience for 40 young people from across Canada, addressing some of the key issues facing youth during this unprecedented time. The workshops and guest speakers will focus on personal well-being, keeping community connection alive, creating safe virtual spaces to engage online and, Indigenous perspectives on well-being.

Organizations working with emerging leaders between the ages of 18 and 26 are encouraged to support a young person in their network by nominating them to attend.

“The Recreation and Parks Association of Nunavut (RPAN) supported two young leaders in the recreation sector to attend the 2020 ViaYOUTH Summit in Vancouver…the experience changed them!  They returned home with new confidence; new passion; new desire to make a difference in their communities and in the Nunavut territory.  Quentin and Nathan continue to share with other young Nunavummiut leaders their experience at the 2020 ViaYouth Summit. Sometimes, we are not fully aware of how significant an opportunity is until we hear from those who participated.  RPAN will continue to support other young Nunavummiut leaders to attend the ViaYOUTH Summit, and encourages other organizations to provide youth this opportunity!”

Dawn Currie – Recreation and Parks Association of Nunavut
