Maia (she/her) holds a Master’s degree from the University of Ottawa in Human Kinetics and Sport Management. During her undergraduate studies at Bishop’s University, Maia worked as an intern for the varsity women’s soccer team, the Team Lead for the Bishop’s ringette club, and as a research assistant in the department of Sports Studies. During her Master’s, she completed an internship with Ringette Canada and contributed to the success of two National Development camps, acting as a team manager and the social media manager of the event. Maia’s main passions lie in women’s and girls’ sport, as she stays connected with the sport community in Ottawa as an athlete, coach, and volunteer.
